Yo. Welcome to the first of hopefully many update posts. Sorry this one took so long to get out. I'm currently without internet and have to rely on mobile data for everything, so please bear with me!

So it's been a little over a week since I've released Phantasm Memoria out into the wild and the nerves still haven't fully subsided, but I'm still doing my best to work and get an update out as soon as possible.

You probably noticed some work-in-progress choices, unfinished codex entries, and all the stuff in the game currently. Originally, the game was meant to be released after all that stuff was finished, but due to this and that, I was sort of forced to release it as is. It's a bit unfortunate, but at the very least it allows me to gage interest in the game and see if it's something people actually want to see.

Regardless of whether the game does well or not though, I want to get all the content that was meant for the first release done and out to the public, which is what I've been working on!

Right now the highest priority is to get the branching Neo choices done. It's taking longer than I'd like as animating is hell and due to the aforementioned mobile data issue, I'm unable to really look up anything or find resources I need, but I'm still doing my best to make steady progress.

I can't give an estimated date for the next release as I'm still not sure how exactly I plan to update the game (I don't want to release updates in small pieces, but I also don't want updates to take too long between each other) and there's still a lot of behind-the-scenes coding work to be done, but I'll try my best to make the wait as short as possible!

As for these updates, I'm going to attempt (and likely fail) to get one out at the beginning/end of the month and another during the middle of the month. But if that's too long for you, you can follow me on Twitter for more short, spur-of-the-moment updates as I'm sure I'm going to be losing my mind as I work. Why not Bluesky? I feel comfortable letting out my insane ramblings on Twitter where everyone is insane. I have to pretend to be normal on Bluesky.
